I started using AMSOIL in the 70's mainly because my dad became a dealer.  AMSOIL was the 1st company in the world to offer a synthetic motor oil which met the American Petroleum Institute's service requirements.  Back then everyone, including me, thought that a 25,000 mile oil change was crazy.

I realized AMSOIL was different when I pulled the oil pan down on a car that had been using AMSOIL and I didn't have to scrape the "mud" out of the bottom of the oil pan.  I was used to seeing a thick layer of sludge on the bottom of the pan.  In this engine, all I saw was bare metal with a light coating (which was probably residual oil doing its job).  I've used AMSOIL products ever since.  Over the years I've come to trust AMSOIL, both the products and the company.  I guess it was natural that I decided to become a dealer.  AMSOIL has been an innovator from the start.   If you are wondering if you would like being an AMSOIL dealer, read about the Dealer Opportunity.

Why Use AMSOIL?

Why do people use AMSOIL?  The answer varies depending on the person.  Here are some reasons I've heard over the years.

I use AMSOIL because...

  1.  I can change my oil once per year.Oil Change
  2.  I want the best protection for my vehicle(s).  AMSOIL has done a lot of testing which shows they have the best products.
  3.  I like to protect the environment.  Fewer oil changes mean less waste oil.
  4.  AMSOIL is a good source of oil for my vehicle (such as high zinc oil for a 60's muscle car or for a European car, etc).
  5.  I drive a lot of miles each year and want AMSOIL's extended protection.
  6.  For the way I drive, AMSOIL costs less.  Often the annual cost for the extended drain products ends up being cheaper.
  7.  I like the fact that AMSOIL has a wide range of lubricants, pretty much a product for every need.
  8.  I had trouble starting my vehicles in the cold weather prior to changing to AMSOIL.
  9.  I like the security of AMSOIL's warranty.
